I put the gimbal on my chesty with the custom mount I had printed.
First skate of the year.
I saw several young families out for a weekend walk on the overpass.
It was surprising to see how thrilled kids were, literally jumping for joy.
I suppose it’s the sense of elevation and the thrill of the traffic whizzing by below.
So . . . they don’t make computers for skates and today was the first time I ever recorded speed, distance, et cetera. Pretty excited. It takes the skate runs to a whole ‘nother level.
One of my bearing plate retainer rings, 3rd right wheel, popped out and jammed my wheel for the last stretch of the first run. I had thought it was leave stems or a twig. Fixed it at the rest stop.
My average speed is pretty close to my biking, just want to break the 20 mph barrier so I’ll be switching from grease to oil on the bearings.
Just got a wind suppressor. You can hear the rumble of the wheels.
I was working on getting side shots. Tried to get a shot of some people under the bridge across the creek when I drifted off the trail and into the mud.
Today I learned that a water bottle can be used as an impact cushioning device.
