I rode three rides over the last week, the worst part was the powder on the streets and trails. Usually, in this region, after snowfall it’s warm enough to solidify it a bit. This snowfall stayed powdery all week.

My studs & knobs couldn’t find surface to grip in the sea of powdery snow. The front tire would just slide with any turns – no control. Would have loved a front ski but in all practicality I’m thinking of putting a Schawalbe ISP on the front next year.

You know, if the plows and get to all the streets, it should be legal to use snowmobiles, skis, and snowboards on them. At least they pack down the snow in a smooth way.
