Long Term Capital Loss Carryover

By sawaldhalm

Taxes have been pretty much straight forward for me over the years.  The only exceptions being in itemized deductions.

This year a 1041 K-1 form brought a wonderful deduction and a Long Term Capital Loss Carryover figure with scant instructions.  The more I researched it the less I knew about it.

I just had to lock down and roll the numbers knowing I followed instructions to the T on schedule D.

I don’t know what I did but I’ve got a paper trail and I know how to use it!
