It’s been over a year or so since I’ve hit this trail. The Ute Loop. Up Barr Trail, through the ruins of the old Fremont Experimental Forest, down Longs Ranch Road, and the Ute Pass Trail.
My altimeter showed a 2,600ft ascent, but it’s barometer based, so it’s not quite that precise.
I recently went on a trip up to North Dakota and it looks like a few others have been taking a trip there too.

Woke up at about 6:30am and checked my e-mail. A load-in at 8:30am! I knew the show was coming, but I did’nt get any confirmation for the schedule. Well, at least I was half ready for it.
A lot of gear, but we managed to get it all up for running within about 5 hours.
By 10:30pm, when we tore it all down, the near full capacity building without air conditioning turned into a sauna. I think we all lost a few pounds in sweat alone.
